What Makes a Good Photo?
Photo Guidelines for Best Results:
- Make sure your pet’s photo is taken in a well-lit space—natural lighting works best. Avoid using filters or dark indoor lighting, as they can affect the final illustration.
- Take a close-up photo of your pet from the front, making sure the ears, head, neck, and upper chest are visible. Your pet should be centered in the frame for the best composition.
- Please don’t use photos that are taken from above, heavily filtered, blurry, or where your pet is lying down. These types of images often can't be illustrated properly.
Can I have more than one pet in a photo?
Absolutely! We can definitely include more than one pet in a portrait. However, the more pets that are added, the harder it becomes to maintain the same level of detail and quality in the artwork. For the best results, we recommend a maximum of three pets per portrait. This helps ensure each pet is captured beautifully and with care!
How long does shipping take?
Shipping Times (USA):
- Posters: 4–7 business days
- Mugs: 5–7 business days
- Pillows: 5–12 business days
- Phone Cases: 4–6 business days

Since every order is personalized and uniquely made, we do not accept returns. However, we offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee — if you're not happy with your item upon receiving it, we’ll remake and replace it free of charge.
What are the Posters Made Of?
Arden Valley's pet portraits are printed on premium, museum-quality matte paper to give your artwork a refined, professional finish. We use plexiglass, which is a safer, stronger, and more durable alternative to traditional glass or plastic, offering excellent shatter resistance.
Each portrait is either poster-only or framed in a lightweight, matte-finish alder frame crafted from sustainable semi-hardwood sourced from renewable forests. It comes complete with pre-installed hanging hardware, so it’s ready to display the moment it arrives.
What Are the Frame Sizes You Offer?
Our frame alternatives include black, white, walnut, and birch, and are 1 inch wide. Final framed dimensions are:
- 8x10" or 20x25 cm
- 12x16" or 30x40 cm
- 16x20" or 40x50 cm
Can I make changes to my order?
Absolutely! We're happy to help with any changes to your pet portrait order — just make sure to email us at contact.ardenvalley@gmail.com within 1 hour of placing your order. After that window, most changes (including address updates) may no longer be possible. Please keep in mind that any edits could result in slight shipping delays.
